"Never Argue with Someone who believes their own lies"

Women have Better Memory than a Men

About 75 percent of people experience memory problems as they get older. Causes include dementia and Alzheimer's disease (AD). Women are more likely to be affected by AD and dementia than men.

As women reach menopause, they also struggle with forgetfulness and "brain fog," and for some, this memory depletion continues after menopause. Some researchers have found that women have difficulty with verbal fluency at these times, too.
Nevertheless, women with healthy aging brains continue to have an edge over their male counterparts when it comes to memory function, even in midlife and older age.

Indeed, some studies suggest that, even from childhood, women outperform men in memory tasks. This is especially true of verbal memory. The difference becomes more significant just after puberty, and it continues into adulthood.

Research has suggested that verbal and associative aspects of memory are more likely to be impaired than nonverbal function as people get older.
It also seems that people who experience problems with verbal memory before the age of 50 years are more likely to face additional cognitive impairments after the age of 65 years.

How do hormones affect memory?

Researchers from Boston, MA, have been investigating how the menopause and levels of sex steroids might affect particular aspects of memory.
Neuroactive sex steroid hormones, including estradiol, are believed to affect learning and memory in women, and they may underlie sex differences in learning and memory performance.

Estradiol affects the structure and function of brain regions that relate to memory. As levels fluctuate during the menstrual cycle, verbal working memory performance can change, too.
To find out more, the team decided to investigate memory function as it relates to estradiol levels in early midlife.

They hypothesized that sex differences, hormones, and reproductive status might correlate with changes in memory performance.
The researchers also wanted to know which memory domains are most likely to be impaired in menopausal women and whether the level of memory function in early midlife might predict the future onset of AD, based on family history.

Despite a dip at menopause, women outperform men in memory tests

The participants were 212 men and women aged between 45-55 years.
Fast facts about memory loss
  • In 12.6 percent of American households, one or more people have confusion or memory loss
  • In 6 percent of households, all adults have confusion or memory loss
  • Causes include vitamin B12 deficiency, alcoholism, tumor, infection or blood clots in the brain.

As estradiol declines during menopause, women find it harder to learn something for the first time and to retrieve information. However, they continue to maintain and consolidate stored memories effectively. The findings suggest that different parts of the brain are affected.
Previous studies have shown that women with a longer reproductive period, and therefore greater exposure to estrogens, have better immediate and delayed verbal memory in mid- to late-life.
A fall in estradiol levels during menopause has also been found to relate directly to changes in brain activity in the hippocampus, which plays a role in memory function.

Is there a link with Alzheimer's?

The parts that are affected appear to be different from those affected by early AD, and the team found no indication of a link between menopausal brain deficits and AD.
"Brain fog" and forgetfulness have sometimes been attributed to job stress and the need to multitask, rather than menopausal transition.
The current study confirms other findings suggesting that menopause, and more specifically, estradiol, may play a role.

RGV'S International Movie

RGV's first international Movie "Nuclear" and it will be shot extensively in USA, China,Russia,Yemen and India which will be made at the whopping budget of Rs 340 crore, under CMA global production.

Press Note from RGV:
I have been an avid and voracious reader of both fiction and non-fiction but never in my life until now, have I come across a subject matter like NUCLEAR. Yes it’s going to be much more costlier than the most expensive film ever made in India and the reason for that is because the subject matter truly demands that it is filmed on a scale never before seen

Terrorism is on the top of everyone’s minds in the world today be it America, Europe, Middle East or Asia. Incidents like planes bringing down towers, a truck plowing through people on the roads, slaughtering hundreds of innocent people in Paris,Mumbai etc is terrifying enough, but the real and truly unthinkable terror is, what if someone gets their hands on a nuclear bomb?
This is not at all an exaggerated fear and a very plausible reality with so many terrorist organisations intimidating and attempting to take over nuclear-powered countries. The echoes of the nuclear bombs on the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki are still reverberating in the world’s ears 70 years after they exploded making it impossible for the world to forget the terror they unleashed.
The only thing which can be more terrifying than that is, if that explosion happens now in our times. It is because of this fear that America acted against Iraq. If an act based on mere suspicion that someone could be in possession of a nuclear bomb bring in so much of hate and divide between the countries of the world resulting in regime collapses, friendly countries becoming sworn enemies, rise of ISIS etc., then it’s obvious that an actual nuclear explosion in a big city like Mumbai can easily trigger WORLD WAR III and thus end the WORLD.

Soaked Almonds Are Better Than Raw Almonds

Some believe that almonds have been around for almost 19,000 years. They were initially cultivated in Iran, Afghanistan and Turkey, and later spread out to the Mediterranean region, Europe and China. Almonds also have great historical significance

Almonds are rich in nutrients like vitamin E, dietary fibers, omega 3 fatty acids and proteins. Some say that almonds can be considered the next big 'superfood' because of their unbelievable nutrient profile. They're high on protein so they keep you full for longer and they're rich in manganese which helps strengthen bones and regulate blood sugar. They're extremely helpful for those with blood pressure problems and also help muscle and nerve function.

Raw Almonds vs Soaked Almonds

If your mother pleaded with you every morning to eat your daily dose of soaked almonds, then she may have been right. Choosing between soaked almonds and raw almonds isn't just a matter of taste, it's about picking the healthier option.

Why soaked almonds are better - Firstly, the brown peel of almonds contains tannin which inhibits nutrient absorption. Once you soak almonds the peel comes off easily and allows the nut to release all nutrients easily.

How to soak? Soak a handful of almonds in half a cup of water. Cover them and allow them to soak for 8 hours. Drain the water, peel off the skin and store them in plastic container. These soaked almonds will last you for about a week.

Benefits of soaked almonds:

1. Help with digestion - Soaking almonds helps in releasing enzymes which in turn help with digestion. Soaking almonds releases enzyme lipase which is beneficial for digestion of fats.

2. Help with weight-loss - The monounsaturated fats in almonds curb your appetite and keep you full. So feel free to snack on them because they'll help you avoid binge-eating and trigger weight-loss.

3. Almonds keep your heart healthy, reduce bad cholesterol (low density lipoprotein) and increase good cholesterol (high density lipoprotein).

4. They are a good source of antioxidants: Vitamin E present in soaked almonds works as an antioxidant which inhibits free radical damage that prevents ageing and inflammation.

5. Fight Cancer: Soaked almonds contain Vitamin B17 which is vital for fighting cancer.

6. Flavonoid present in almonds suppresses tumor growth.

7. Help in lowering and maintaining glucose levels and regulating high blood pressure. (Eat nuts to control blood sugar and fat)

8. Soaked almonds contain folic acid which reduces birth defects.

Heart Stent video (Angioplasty)

Heart attack in 3d animation

This 3d medical animation illustrates the story of a heart attack from a blocked coronary artery due to th inflammation of blood vessels. Beginning with damage to the endothelial arterial wall, the animation shows how a white blood cell entering the wall of the artery changes into a macrophage, grabbing and digesting cholesterol. As the cell does its job, it transforms into a foam cell, which, unfortunately, becomes part of the plaque within the blood vessel wall. Ultimately, over a period of years, the plaque grows and ruptures the blood vessel wall, spilling into the blood stream and eventually blocking the left anterior descending coronary artery supplying the left ventricle. The animation ends showing an external view of the heart with dark area representing the death of the ventricle wall

Deewali and its different Stories

Different Stories

India, the land of rich cultural heritage, has one or the other festival for every month. It is the spiritual and religious richness in India that each festival is related to some or other deity. One of such festival is the 'festival of lights' - Deepawali. It is the glorious occasion that is not restricted to one day, but extended to a five-day celebration. All through these five days, people are in a festive mood. Adding to the festivity is the colorful display of lights. Like every other Hindu festival, stories from Mythology are associated with Diwali too. Given below is information on the celebrations of Diwali.

Stories & Legends of Deepavali

Return of Shri Ram To Ayodhyaa: The most famous legend behind the celebrations of Diwali is about the prince of Ayodhya Nagri - Lord Shri Ram. The king of Lanka, Ravana, kidnapped Ram's wife - Sita from the jungle, where they were staying as per the instructions of King Dashratha, father of Lord Ram. In order to freed Sita from Ravana's custody, Ram attacked him. This was followed by a war, in which, Ram defeated Ravan and released Sita from his custody. On the arrival of Lord Ram along with his wife Sita, people of Ayodhya decorated their homes as well as the city of Ayodhyaa by lighting tiny diyas all over, in order to welcome their beloved prince Shri Ram and Devi Sita.

Incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi: On the auspicious new moon day, which is 'Amavasyaa' of the Hindi month of Kartik, the Goddess of wealth and prosperity - Lakshmi was incarnated. She appeared during the churning of the ocean, which is known as 'Samudra Manthan', by the demons on one side and 'Devataas' (Gods) on the other side. Therefore, the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, the Lakshmi Pujan, on the day of Diwali, became a tradition.

Lord Krishna Destroyed Demon Narakasur: One famous story behind the celebrations of Diwali is about the demon king Narakasur, who was ruler of Pragjyotishpur, a province to the South of Nepal. After acquiring victory over Lord Indra during a war, Narakasur snatched away the magnificent earrings of Mother Goddess Aditi, who was not only the ruler of Suraloka, but also a relative of Lord Krishna's wife - Satyabhama. Narakasur also imprisoned sixteen thousand daughters of Gods and saints in his harem. With the support of Lord Krishna, Satyabhama defeated Narakasur, released all the women from his harem and restored the magnificent earrings of Mother Goddess Aditi.

The Return of The Pandavas: The great Hindu epic 'Mahabharata' has another interesting story related to the 'Kartik Amavasyaa'. According to the story, 'the Pandavas', the five brothers Yudhishthhira, Bhima, Arjuna, Nakula and Sahdeva, were sentenced to thirteen years exile as a result of their defeat against 'the Kauravas' - Duryodhana and his ninety nine brothers, at the game of dice. Therefore, the Pandavas spent thirteen years in the jungles and returned to their kingdom on the day of 'Kartik Amavasyaa'. On their return, the people of their kingdom welcomed the Pandavas by celebrating the event by lighting the earthen lamps all over in their city.

Coronation of King Vikramaditya: Another legend or story about Diwali celebrations relates to one of the greatest Hindu King - Vikramaditya. It was the day when he was coroneted and the people celebrated this event by lighting tiny earthen 'diyas.

U.S. Takes Down Call-Center Financial Scam

Officials allege people impersonating IRS, immigration officials extracted more than $250 million from victims

Federal authorities said Thursday they had dismantled a massive call-center scheme perpetrated by individuals in the U.S. and India who bilked thousands of Americans out of hundreds of millions of dollars by posing as Internal Revenue Service and Department of Homeland Security officials.
An 81-page indictment names 56 people in the U.S. and India and five call centers in Ahmedabad, India, allegedly involved in the fraud. They were charged in a Texas federal district court in Houston with crimes including impersonation of a U.S. officer, identity theft, money laundering and wire fraud.
In the U.S., federal agents arrested 20 people in connection with the scam. Individuals were arrested in Alabama, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, New Jersey and Texas.
It was unclear Thursday night if the defendants had legal representatives.
Callers in India phoned individuals in the U.S. and demanded that they make payments to clear purported unpaid taxes or debt to avoid arrest. Their co-conspirators in the U.S. collected the victims’ funds, laundered them and transferred them to India, according to the indictment.
The scheme often targeted individuals who were elderly or immigrants with solid credit scores, according to investigators. The swindlers obtained lists with names and dates of birth from aggregators and marketing companies and researched the victims before preying on them. Immigrants were told that they would be deported if they didn’t pay up, investigators said. Often a federal agency’s name showed up on the recipients’ phone identification, lending legitimacy to the call.
“For nearly four years, this criminal network used a variety of schemes to trick frightened individuals over the telephone by tapping into their worst fears—arrest, deportation and other problems with the U.S. government authorities,” said assistant attorney general Leslie R. Caldwell.
More than 15,000 people paid more than $250 million to the swindlers. One victim turned over $136,000, according to the indictment.
The fraud didn’t always end with a phone call. In Colorado Springs early this year, scammers called 911 after a man failed to withdraw money to pay four years of supposed back taxes. They told a dispatcher that the individual was armed and ready to kill cops. Within minutes, more than a dozen armed police officers surrounded his residence. No one was hurt, authorities said.
“The scammers were ruthless in their pursuit of their victims,“ said Peter T. Edge,  a senior Homeland Security Investigations official. “They conveyed authority and a sense of urgency that left their victims terrified.”
The takedown is the culmination of a three-year investigation by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s Homeland Security Investigations, the Department of Homeland Security’s Office of the Inspector General and the U.S. Treasury’s Inspector General for Tax Administration. It represents the largest law-enforcement action ever conducted against a telephone scam, authorities said.
The U.S. has been struggling to combat an epidemic of scams targeting Americans online and by telephone. Authorities said that the fake call-center enterprise they cracked by tracing thousands of transactions is likely to be just the tip of the iceberg.
“We are still actively conducting other investigations, and we hope to bring more cases in the future,” said J. Russell George, inspector general for the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration.
Victims described a fast-moving sequence of events in which callers ensnared them by sounding professional and conveying a sense of urgency. Many of them said they are still struggling to process what happened and to put it behind them.
“There’s a profile of a vulnerable person; I don’t fit that mold,” said Christine, a medical-device saleswoman in California in her mid-50s.
In 2014, Christine received a call from a 202 area code, which she recognized as being from Washington, D.C. A woman with an American accent identified herself as an IRS official, even citing a badge number. She quickly passed Christine to a second individual who had a strong command of the English language while speaking with an Indian accent. He told her that she was in violation of a statute, which he read. To prevent law-enforcement from arresting her the next day, he said, she must immediately pay $6,850.
“They knew where I was,” recalls Christine, who asked that her last name not be divulged. Federal officials confirmed her account.
Coincidentally, Christine was being audited by the IRS for medical deductions she had claimed in connection with cancer treatment. She chalked up the slight disparity between the sum demanded by the caller and what she actually owed the IRS to accumulated interest.
Still, she asked to speak to a supervisor. Yet the individuals “reeled her in,” she said, talking over her and threatening her. “I tried to appeal to their humanity, kept telling them I was a cancer victim,” she recalled.
Soon Christine was driving to a bank to collect money, which she was directed to load onto stored-value money cards available at a local grocery store. She then followed instructions to transfer the funds to the criminal network.
“When the veil lifted, I couldn’t freakin’ believe it; I tried calling back and the line was dead. I just got a fast beep,” she said. She contacted the U.S. Treasury.
Joseph, another victim, is a retired military serviceman whose ordeal began with a call on Election Day in 2014. His account of the scam is virtually identical to Christine’s, down to the cash cards. By the time it was over, Joseph had parted with $25,000.
“You just don’t think it is going to happen to you,” said Joseph, who is in his 60s, and didn’t want to be identified by his full name. “You feel so ashamed.”
The Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration has received more than 1.8 million complaints from individuals reporting calls from swindlers impersonating IRS officials since it began tracking such scams in 2013. More than 9,600 victims have paid more than $50 million.
U.S. authorities said that so far they haven’t cooperated with Indian authorities.
Early this month, Indian authorities arrested 70 people who allegedly helped to manage nine call centers where hundreds of individuals impersonated U.S. officials to extort money from Americans.
In the latest scam, co-conspirators in the U.S. often laundered the proceeds by purchasing gift cards for big-box retailers and then selling them online at a discount. They directed some victims to wire them money through remittance companies like Western Union, the indictment said.
The perpetrators used hawalas, or informal money handlers, to receive the funds. At least one suspect used the proceeds to pay for a child’s university tuition in the U.S., authorities said.

Body Fat types and best reduction tips

our human body contains 5 different types of fat.Yes, believe it or not check detailed information below.
In your belly, in your arms, and in your legs; and they all will respond differently to certain types of exercises and toning strategies.
  1. Subcutaneous fats
  2. Intrahepatic fat
  3. Epicardial fat
  4. Intramuscular fat
  5. Brown fats

Subcutaneous fats.
These are what lies just beneath your skin and what people typically refer to as muffin tops, love handles, flabby necks, saggy arms, big bellies etc. Now you have to understand that fat is technically an endocrine organ that’s capable of releasing hormones and other chemicals that may affect your heath, physiology and longevity.
Intrahepatic fat.
These are the fats located inside your liver and is somehow seen as nasty fats. Among all types of fats, intrahepatic is the one most associated with obesity. If you want to burn this type of fat, you’ll need to drive your focus on doing not just high-intensity trainings but on dietary strategies as well.  You’ll want to lower your intake of fructose and sugars, alcohol and eat more of liver and egg yolks for their rich choline content. You’ll also need to re-evaluate where you’re getting your saturated fats. It’s best if you get them from organic grass-fed beef, coconut, and cocoa from chocolates.
Epicardial fat.
This is the visceral fat that is around your heart. It’s a layer of hard, yellow fat. Unfortunately, too many of these can result to inflammation in surrounding organs, diabetes and obesity. To decrease the amount of epicardial fats in the body, it seemed that both short sessions of intense cardiovascular activities/exercises and longer steady rate cardio workouts can do the trick just right.
Intramuscular fat.
This is the kind that is situated inside your muscles. You’ve probably glimpsed this fat if you’re paying enough attention to a fatty beef steak before actually consuming it. The good thing is, the intramuscular fats can provide for a readily available supply of energy for your muscles once you’ve actually managed to turn yourself into a lean and mean, “fat-burning” machine.  From a body training standpoint the best way to achieve this is to get engrossed in a low-intensity aerobic activity or exercise that can at least provide you with a max heart rate of 75%, preferably in a fasted state of ketosis or during a limited carb intake.  Know that the fat burning zone happens at around 45-65% of an individual’s max heart rate. For a typical calculation, take the number 220 and subtract the person’s age to get the maximum heart rate, and then take 45-65% of that number to arrive at the maximum fat-burning zone.
Brown fats.
This is the kind of fats that gets metabolized easily to generate heat once your body gets exposed to cold temperatures. Babies are known to have lots of brown fats when they are born which helps them a lot in thermoregulation. Studies have shown that since brown fats are important, one can train their bodies to convert their “white fat” reserves into brown ones.  Some people even utilize the cold to help them lose weight.
Lastly, understand that people from different lineage may have different patterns of body fat distribution. For example, there are men who will have more fats on their trunk than their limbs, while some women may have more fats on the lower parts of their bodies than on their trunks.

How to Lose Body Fat?
When it comes to losing fat - often it does not go according to plan. Despite many claims of spot reduction (i.e. "lose belly fat first") - it rarely happens this way.
From a health perspective, visceral fat is the most dangerous. The good news is that a weight loss program will lead to loss of visecral fat.
Basic Areas
  • Women - generally around the buttocks and thighs (gluteofemoral): "pear-shaped".
  • Men - generally around the abdomen: "apple-shaped".
Note that these are the predominant patterns - but both 'apple' and 'pear' shaped distribution can be found in either gender.
Specific Areas
KneeFat often builds up on the inside region of the knees in women.
Upper ArmAlso common in women, fat build up can occur in the middle to upper area of the upper arm - typically covering the triceps area.
AbdomenFat buildup around the navel area is common in both men and women. It is also one of the few fat deposits that are also found in slim women.
Inner ThighFat storage between the thighs is common in women - but also occurs with men. It is more noticeable in women due to the width of the pelvis that in turn influences the position of the thigh (femur).
Outer ThighSometimes called "Riding Breeches" - this area is the most likely place for the pitted or 'quilted' appearance of cellulite. This fat concentration also blends with fat tissue on the inner thigh and the buttocks.
ButtocksWithout fat here - sitting would be quite uncomfortable. Fat is held in place by the gluteal fold. If significant fat is lost from the buttock, then only appropriate training can prevent the buttock from sagging down against the thigh.
Lower BackThis fat concentration often merges with the buttock area.
ChestBreast tissue comprises the mammary gland (one's 'endowment') surrounded by fat. Men also have atrophied glands and fat in this area. Both sexes gain fat in this area. In men this can sometimes be mistaken for the condition of gynecomastia - a condition that includes not only fat build up, but growth in gland tissue.
